As this holiday season of 2021 approaches I find myself pondering all that has gone on in recent years. Many people’s lives have been complicated and many people’s lives have been changed.
It’s not always easy to have a wide perspective. We all get absorbed in our personal views and experiences. It’s not always easy to see the bright side either. But as I said, I find myself reflecting. And while I certainly recognize there is still much to do, my focus goes to all I have to be thankful for. I’m thankful to live in a country that is far safer and more supportive that most. I’m grateful to everyone who has supported my company’s mission over the years. These are very big things to be thankful for. And there are still so many things that can be added to the list. Things we take for granted, like roads, stores full of products, water, heating, air conditioning, first responders of all kinds, countless entertainment options, schools, and the list continues, the list is long. Yet many live in a personal world of malcontent. They seem to be too focused on what is yet to do and not often enough focused on all there is to be thankful for.
I wish there was more I could do. Perhaps you could help. Perhaps just sharing this message would make a difference to someone in your circle. It is the holidays after all. It is a season of giving. Thanks again to everyone who has given me so much over the years, thanks to those I know and thanks to those I have never met. You may never know when the gift you contribute could mean the world to someone else.
